Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support upstream oil and gas operations in the Eagle Ford, Permian, and Uinta basins. The role focuses on revenue accounting, settlements, accruals, and financial close, with cross-functional collaboration across accounting, production, marketing, land, operations, and commercial teams.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in upstream energy, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in upstream oil and gas.
• Experience with purchaser statements, gas plant statements, revenue settlements, pricing, deductions, and revenue accrual processes preferred.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or another major ERP system preferred.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or APA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Revenue accounting for oil, natural gas, and NGL sales across Crescent's portfolio.
• Review statements and settlements to ensure revenue accuracy and proper owner payments.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of revenue-related accounts and close activities.
• Prepare revenue accruals and analyze variances for financial reporting.
• Support contracts, transportation and marketing arrangements during acquisitions/divestitures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve controls.
