Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its Accounting team, supporting upstream oil & gas operations across Eagle Ford, Permian, and Uinta basins. The role emphasizes revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliations, and contract support in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of accounting experience in upstream revenue functions, strong Excel and SAP skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in upstream oil & gas.
• Experience with revenue accounting functions including settlements and pricing.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or APA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue accounting for oil, natural gas, and NGL sales across Crescent's portfolio.
• Review and analyze purchaser and plant statements, settlements, pricing, deductions, and distributions.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of revenue-related accounts and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare revenue accruals and perform accrual-to-actual analyses for reporting.
• Develop understanding of purchaser contracts and processing/transportation agreements; support due diligence for acquisitions/divestitures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve internal controls.
