Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to manage revenue accounting activities for oil, natural gas, and NGL sales across its portfolio from a Houston, TX base. The role focuses on accurate revenue recording, settlements, accruals, and close processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will review purchaser statements, gas plant statements, and related distributions, supporting monthly and annual financial reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably upstream oil & gas.
Experience with upstream oil, gas and NGL revenue accounting functions preferred.
Understanding of purchaser statements, gas plant statements, revenue settlements, pricing, deductions, transportation agreements, and revenue accrual processes preferred.
CPA, CPA candidate, or APA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Revenue accounting for oil, natural gas, and NGL sales across Crescent's portfolio.
Review and analyze purchaser statements, and related settlements for accuracy.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of revenue-related accounts and close activities.
Prepare revenue accruals and support financial reporting.
Support due diligence and integration of assets during acquisitions and divestitures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and controls.
