Crescent Energy seeks a Regulatory Accounting Manager to lead upstream regulatory accounting and compliance. You will oversee royalty and severance tax accounting, escheat processes, audits, and internal controls across finance and operations.

The role reports to the Controller - Operations Accounting and requires strong leadership, Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP systems, including SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• 5–8+ years in accounting/finance within upstream oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, royalty and escheat requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead regulatory accounting and compliance for upstream operations.
• Oversee royalty and severance tax accounting, filings, and payments.
• Manage unclaimed property/escheat compliance with related controls.
• Support external/internal audits with schedules and documentation.
• Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Identify regulatory risks and propose corrective actions.
• Improve accounting policies and workflows for efficiency.
• Collaborate with land, operations, and finance stakeholders.
• Supervise accounting staff and foster high performance.
