Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree or High School/GED with relevant experience.
  • GMP experience and a Biotechnology certificate are preferred.

  • Document activities per cGMP regulations.

Job Description
Downstream Unit:
  • Medium to large-scale filtration systems including TFF, HFTFF, Nanofiltration, and depth filtration
  • Chromatographic systems (ÄKTA)
  • Pre-packed columns from 1L to 100L
  • Single-use mixing systems (Pall & GE)
  • Single-use connectivity types such as GE DAC and Colder AseptiQuik
  • Bulk filling, aseptic process simulation, drug product filling
  • Plate counting, microscopic examination
  • Monitor cultures, sample collection, bioreactor and fermenter turnaround, sterilization, inoculation
Upstream Unit:
  • Single-use cell culture bioreactors up to 2000L
  • Bacterial fermentation vessels up to 2000L
  • Alpha Wasserman continuous flow centrifuges
  • Disposable magnetic mixing bags and totes
  • Cell expansion and propagation
  • Banking/cryopreservation of cell lines and viruses
  • Hyperstack, Cellstack, and other adherent cell technologies
  • Monitor cultures, sample collection, bioreactor and fermenter turnaround, sterilization, inoculation
Buffer Preparation Unit:
  • Preparation of media and buffers from raw materials, including mixing, testing, and filtration
  • Weighing raw materials per batch records and managing expiry dates
  • Integrity testing of filters
Essential Functions
  • Write and review SOPs, buffer formulations, and batch records
  • Assist in implementing safety and quality assurance programs
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Document activities per cGMP regulations and train junior staff
  • Operate general production equipment (autoclaves, washers, incubators, etc.)
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of areas
  • Maintain effective working relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Leadership skills and ability to train others to cGMP standards
  • Attention to detail and self-discipline
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends and alternate shifts
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Experience in a cleanroom environment with aseptic techniques
  • Good planning and time management skills
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Employees must meet physical demands such as prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with accommodations available for disabilities. Personal protective equipment is required, and attendance is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a related field with 1 year of relevant experience, or
  • High School/GED with 2 years relevant experience
