Job summary

Forge Biologics, located in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Technician I, GMP Manufacturing Support to join our team and help bring life-changing gene therapies to patients. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing GMP equipment and facilities, preparing tubing sets, and managing cleanroom inventory to enable AAV gene therapy production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience following SOPs or other protocols/work instructions.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitization of GMP facilities and equipment, ensuring SOP and cGMP compliance.
• Assist in tube set preparation under supervision, following procedures and documentation.
• Replenish cleaning and consumables, set reorder points, and place orders per forecast demand.
• Stock and maintain common-use items in the cleanroom for daily operations.
• Monitor expiration dates and rotate/replace consumables to prevent shortages.
• Maintain real-time documentation and review logs, MRPs, and related documents.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment or process issues under guidance.
• Collaborate with GMP Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Product Development teams.
• Assist in equipment setup, inventory management, and material requests for cleaning and manufacturing.
• Contribute to process improvements and help enhance department workflows.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
