Job summary

USA Rare Earth, Inc. is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst (Upstream) to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for development-stage mining projects.

You will build and maintain project cash flow models, analyze capex/opex, and deliver management-ready insights to inform leadership decisions across the lifecycle of the Round Top-related developments. The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced modelling, and the ability to translate complex technical data into clear financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience in mining, resources, energy, or capital-intensive industries.
• Advanced financial modelling skills, including 3-statement and project cash flow models.
• Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
• Self-starter in a fast-paced, development-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models including project economics (NPV, IRR, payback) and capex/opex forecasts.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic reforecasts across project, exploration, technical, and G&A functions.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting with variance analysis and commentary.
• Track development capex against budgets and AFEs, flag overruns and cost trends early.
• Monitor liquidity and support working capital management during development.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis on key value drivers (prices, grades, recovery, throughput).
• Translate feasibility studies and engineering assumptions into financial forecasts with technical teams.
• Support finance processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure as the company scales toward production.
• Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as directed by leadership.
