Job summary

USA Rare Earth seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst to lead budgeting, forecasting, and modeling for development-stage mine projects. You will build capex/opex models, manage cash flow, and deliver management reports to leadership.

You will partner with technical teams to translate engineering assumptions into financial forecasts, monitor liquidity, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience in mining, resources, energy, or capital-intensive industries preferred.
• Advanced financial modeling skills including three-statement and project cash flow models.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present concepts to non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models including project economics, capex/opex forecasts, and life-of-mine cash flow models.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic reforecasts with inputs from multiple functions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting with variance analysis and drivers.
• Monitor development capital spend and flag overruns and cost trends early.
• Forecast liquidity and support working capital management during development.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses on key value drivers.
