Job summary

Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, seeks a Senior Advisor Scientist to lead the Upstream Bioprocess Research and Development cell line platform and set the technical strategy for large-molecule programs.

You will mentor scientists, drive AI/ML-enabled CLD workflows, and oversee cross-functional teams to deliver submissions (IND/BLA) with robust data and regulatory-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 6+ years in biopharmaceutical industry and platform leadership.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian CLD, transfection, clone screening, stability assessment, and cell banking.
• Experience integrating automation and high-throughput screening into CLD workflows, including FACS and ambr systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy for the CHO cell line development platform and translate advances into faster, robust delivery across programs.
• Mentor scientists and research associates to establish best practices and data standards.
• Publish and present findings; contribute to IND/BLA regulatory submissions; build external collaborations.
