Job summary

Avid Bioservices is seeking a Manufacturing Associate Upstream in Tustin, CA to perform cGMP cell culture manufacturing across multi-product lines. You’ll monitor equipment, operate Wave and 100–2000 L bioreactors, and handle aseptic expansions while maintaining strict documentation and quality standards.

You will help drive continuous improvement efforts, support 5S initiatives, and collaborate with MSAT, Validation, and Facilities teams to ensure on-time production and release of high-quality

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years of industry experience working with mammalian cell culture.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in biology or chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring of equipment.
• Operate and maintain cell culture bioreactors in batch, fed-batch, and perfusion modes.
• Carry out cell culture expansions and aseptic techniques.
• Maintain cleanroom environment and cGMP documentation.
• Revise Batch Production Records, SOPs, and related forms.
• Collaborate with other departments for materials, testing, and validation.
• Identify deviations and contribute to CAPAs.
