Job summary

Avid Bioservices is seeking a Manufacturing Associate Upstream to perform cGMP cell culture manufacturing in a multi-product facility, including production, documentation, reporting, and equipment service scheduling. You will help ensure on‑time release of high‑quality biopharmaceutical products and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum 2+ years in mammalian cell culture, experience with bioreactors (Wave and 100L–2000L STR/SUB), aseptic techniques, and cGMP documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in mammalian cell culture.
• Experience with cGMP documentation and batch records.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment daily.
• Operate and maintain cell culture bioreactors (Wave and 100L–2000L STR/SUB) in batch, fed-batch, and perfusion modes.
• Perform cell culture expansions and aseptic techniques (thaw cell banks to 15L spinner flasks in a BSC).
• Prepare media and buffer; perform aseptic filling.
• Maintain cleanroom facility and equipment; update BPRs and SOPs.
• Collaborate with facilities, MSAT, validation; report deviations (IRs/DRs/CAPAs).
• Identify technical, procedural, and equipment issues and escalate as needed.
