Job summary

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is hiring a Massage Therapist to join the Idlewild Spa team. You will provide massage services, maintain spa standards, and help create a relaxing guest experience in a high-volume, upscale setting.

Part-time position with benefits including dental, vision, and healthcare options; paid time off and staff discounts on spa and restaurant services. Must hold an active therapist license and be available for holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in massage therapy.
• Proficient skills in traditional and modern forms of massage.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

• Excellent client care, guest service and attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to update technical skills by facilitating and participating in on-going training.
• Effective communicator
• Ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Active therapist license required.
• Ability to maintain compliance with State Board sanitation/sterilization procedures.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• To work as part of the spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating an elevated, sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.
• Supports new Omni Safe and Clean Protocols throughout the spa to support Omni's sanitation protocols.
• Responsible for stocking / setting up and re-setting the treatment rooms according to Opening and Closing Operational Checklists.
• Removal of dirty linens in a timely manner.
• Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines.
• Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste.
• To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are being followed at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Ensure all guests depart with a completed Professional Recommendation Form after each and every service.
• Strive to consistently encourage upgrades and produce a minimum of 10% in retail sales per day / week/ month.
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings.
• Perform all services for which training has been received in the allotted period and without personal interpretation of the treatment application.
• Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority.
• Stay current and educated with new treatments and products in the Spa industry.
• Must maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times.
• Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
• Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
