Job summary

Sushi by Bou in Cincinnati is hiring a Service Captain to lead the execution of service, maintain standards, and support the team across each seating.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in fine dining, can guide others with confidence, stay highly aware of the room, and ensure guest satisfaction by coordinating timing with chefs and front-of-house teammates. This role requires evenings, weekends and holidays, and offers hourly pay with tips.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Experience leading or coordinating service.
• Strong knowledge of service standards, pacing and sequence.
• Ability to guide others clearly and constructively.
• Decisive, observant and comfortable engaging with guests.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Model company service standards and reinforce consistency during each seating.
• Maintain an active presence and respond thoughtfully to guest needs or concerns.
• Monitor the pace and sequence of service and adjust as needed.
• Keep chefs and FOH aligned on timing, allergies and special requests.
• Provide real-time guidance and support during service.
• Contribute to preparation, training and team feedback.
• Ensure guest-facing areas and service stations stay ready and organized.
