Job summary

The Mather in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Server for its luxury senior living Food & Beverage team. Part-time with flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings.

You will deliver high-end service across multiple venues, build connections with residents and guests, and promote the scratch kitchen and elevated programs. Ideal candidates bring 1+ year server experience in a full-service setting, strong communication, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Excellent interaction and communication skills.
• Demonstrates completion of assigned duties through effective teamwork.
• Strong hospitality service skills and a passion for interacting with people.
• English language proficiency.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant.
• Preferred: 2 or more years of server experience in an upscale restaurant.
• Preferred: Event server knowledge and experience.
• Foundational level of wine knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes all tables with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Takes accurate food orders.
• Serves food and beverages in multiple restaurant venues with differing styles of service.
• Provides recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Closes checks promptly and accurately.
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance.
• Completes related side work as assigned.
• Communicates residents' and guests' concerns to supervisors.
• Maintains sanitation standards and goals.
• Participates in Quality Assurance Process Improvement.
