Acme Hospitality is seeking a friendly and professional Server & Barista to deliver quick, accurate service in our California venues.

You will take orders, prepare espresso-based drinks, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure quality, timely delivery. Must have extensive beverage knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to upsell while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a Server in fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairing and cocktail recipes.
• Strong customer service skills with personalized service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guests and team members.
• Professional appearance with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to tables, present menus.
• Explain items, specials, ingredients, and prep methods.
• Recommend dishes based on preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Take accurate orders using a POS system and coordinate with kitchen staff.
• Communicate modifications to orders to kitchen and accommodate requests.
• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
• Operate and clean espresso machines and grinders.
• Steam and texture milk for latte art and quality beverages.
• Serve food and beverages promptly with proper presentation.
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs.
• Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and services.
• Upsell appetizers, desserts, and premium beverages to boost revenue.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Process payments accurately (cash, card, POS).
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar for smooth service.
• Maintain clean dining area and proper table settings.
• Follow health and safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Understand responsible alcohol service and age verification.
