Job summary

The Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market, brought to Savannah by Sage Hospitality Group, is located inside the Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah's historic district. This Luxury Collection Hotel features 167 guest rooms and a vibrant food and beverage program.

Under general supervision, this role delivers prompt, courteous food service to restaurant guests, greeting customers, taking orders, and maintaining service standards throughout the dining experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3 months+ experience in a similar serving role; upscale experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant/kitchen operations.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Able to perform cash handling procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders from guests, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
• Remain attentive to guests throughout the dining experience, adhering to service standards.
• Complete restocking and cleaning duties with opening/closing sidework.
• Memorize menu items to answer questions and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant, wait station and service areas.
• Handle payments and ensure accuracy of the guest check.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to improve product knowledge.
• Respond to inquiries with timely and knowledgeable information.
