Job summary

Oak View Group's Skywalker Grill in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to lead daily service, guide shifts, and uphold standards in a fast-paced, premium dining environment at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. This part-time, hourly role offers $33.00–$35.00 per hour, with benefits including 401(k) and matching.

You will work on the floor, supervise staff, coordinate floor plans, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years front-of-house experience in a full-service restaurant, with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Upscale or high-volume dining experience and strong service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide practical support throughout each shift.
• Supervise shifts and complete opening, service, and closing checklists with management.
• Coordinate floor assignments, side work, and team communication for prepared service areas.
• Stay visible in the dining room, manage seating flow and service pacing, assist hosts and staff.
• Respond promptly to guest questions; resolve issues within authority and involve a manager when needed.
• Lead pre-shift briefings and share menu updates, reservations, and priorities.
• Communicate with the kitchen about timing, orders, and allergen procedures.
• Assist with breaks and shift coverage per staffing plan; inform management of coverage needs.
• Support onboarding and on-the-job training; coach staff and share performance observations.
• Maintain dining room presentation, table readiness, and service station supplies.
• Reinforce cleanliness, sanitation, and safety; report hazards and maintenance needs.
• Assist with POS questions, payment procedures, and cash reconciliation as assigned.
• Complete shift handoffs and service recaps; document guest concerns and follow-up needs.
• Model teamwork and help colleagues stay organized during busy periods.
