Moss New York is seeking a professional Cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced, upscale NYC dining environment. You will prepare high-quality dishes, follow recipes, and help maintain an organized, sanitary kitchen that reflects Moss’s hospitality standards.

This hourly, non-exempt position offers $25.00–$27.00 per hour, overtime eligibility, and benefits including medical, vision, dental, a 401(k), and pre-tax commuter options. Open availability and strong teamwork are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in NYC restaurants, upscale preferred.
• Open availability preferred.
• Strong teamwork and hospitality-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute high-quality dishes according to recipes and service timelines.
• Maintain food presentation, portioning, and temperature to Moss’s standards.
• Follow kitchen systems and ticketing for smooth service operations.
• Uphold HACCP and food safety standards at all times.
• Keep a clean, organized, sanitary workstation and proper storage of goods.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, storage, and rotation of products.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Support production planning, record keeping, and daily tasks.
• Foster teamwork and professional communication with staff and leadership.
• Adhere to all safety policies and protective equipment usage.
