Job summary

The Youth Attendant at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is responsible for delivering a safe, engaging, and upscale experience for children and families within the Houstonian Club. You will supervise children during club activities, assist with program setup and execution, and uphold the highest standards of care, safety, and service in a premium hospitality setting.

The role requires energy, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Experience in childcare is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of children during club activities.
• Adhere to parent-specified guidelines for each child.
• Monitor and ensure child safety at all times.
• Assist with meals, snacks, and hygiene routines.
• Use Youth Department resources to offer age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain records of children’s interests to improve engagement.
• Keep play areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Assist with setup/cleanup for events and birthday celebrations.
• Ensure safety on the Bouldering Wall and related equipment.
• Report incidents to supervisor as needed.
