Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami, FL is hiring a friendly, professional Server to provide food and beverage service to guests at E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences. You will greet guests, explain menus, take orders, and ensure timely, accurate service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in full-service restaurants, knowledge of wine, and the ability to comply with alcohol age regulations. This is an on-site, hourly position with competitive benefits for full-time associates.

Qualifications

• One to two (1-2) years of experience as a food server in a full-service restaurant required; customer service experience preferred.
• Must be the minimum age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating as needed.
• Present menus and wine lists to guests and describe all daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and courteously, and respond to guests’ questions regarding food and beverage items.
• Open, present, and pour wines and champagnes in a professional manner as needed.
• Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and submit them to the kitchen and bar; coordinate with kitchen staff for special requests.
• Maintain knowledge of state liquor regulations and verify legal drinking age.
• Review orders for accuracy and presentation with kitchen staff as needed.
• Refill beverages and monitor guests during meals to ensure satisfaction.
• Suggest desserts and deliver dessert orders.
• Deliver an itemized bill to guests at meal end.
• Handle purchasing transactions using the POS system, issue receipts, and record daily sales.
• Clear and reset tables after service.
• Maintain knowledge of beverages, wines, and menu items, ingredients and prices.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation; perform closing duties.
• Resolve guest problems or refer to F&B Supervisor as needed.
• Assist other staff to ensure top service for all guests.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
