Job summary

Staypineapple is seeking a Bartender/Server in Seattle to provide outstanding service, guide guests through food and beverage choices, and ensure a memorable dining experience. You’ll mix cocktails, serve drafts, and act as an ambassador for the Staypineapple brand.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma, prior bartending experience, and Food Handler’s and Liquor Permit. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with benefits and hotel discounts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous bartending experience.
• Food Handler’s and Liquor Permit required.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Ability to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic.
• Understanding and application of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and maintain the guests dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant and hotel Standard Operating Procedures.
• Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar.
• Serve snacks and food to guests seated at tables.
