Job summary

Benihana - Dearborn is seeking a bartender to craft cocktails, engage guests, and deliver a premium bar experience in a high-energy setting. You will anticipate guest needs, execute flawless drinks, and uphold Benihana's standards for service and presentation.

Responsibilities include preparing cocktails and beverages, maintaining spirits knowledge, taking orders, handling POS transactions, and supporting the front-of-house team. Availability nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale bar or restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, wines, and craft beer.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.
• Must follow all alcohol service guidelines and represent Benihana professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve signature cocktails, classic drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes.
• Engage guests with recommendations and an interactive experience.
• Process drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and process card transactions.
• Set up, stock, and keep a clean bar before, during, and after shifts.
• Garnish drinks and present beverages attractively.
• Assist with food orders at the bar and ensure timely delivery.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
