Benihana - FarmingtonHills is seeking a skilled Bartender to craft signature cocktails, engage guests, and deliver a premium bar experience in a high-volume, upscale setting. You will anticipate guest needs, maintain product knowledge, and create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere for guests at the bar and adjacent areas.

Responsibilities include preparing drinks, processing orders through the POS, handling cash, and coordinating with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale bar or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, wines, and craft beer.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve signature cocktails, classic drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages to maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails.
• Engage with guests, provide menu recommendations and interactive experience.
• Process drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Maintain cash handling, process card transactions, and give change when needed.
• Set up, stock, and maintain a clean bar before, during, and after shifts.
• Garnish drinks and ensure attractive presentation.
• Assist with food orders for bar guests and ensure timely delivery.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Report equipment issues to management.
• Perform blind cash drops at shift end.
• Assist front-of-house with food running, bussing, and hosting support.
