Job summary

Shin Dig Plainfield is seeking a Bartender to create and serve a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. You will apply mixology knowledge, follow recipes, greet guests warmly, and contribute to a welcoming bar atmosphere.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, keeping a clean and organized bar, and handling cash/transactions accurately.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Upscale restaurant bartending experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage presentation.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and attention to detail.
• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly and attentive customer interactions.
• Beverage Knowledge: Possess deep understanding of the bar's menu, ingredients, flavour profiles, and pairings.
• Inventory Management: Monitor bar inventory and ensure adequate stock within budget.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized bar area and adhere to sanitation guidelines.
• Cash Handling: Handle cash and card transactions accurately and reconcile sales at shift end.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff; assist with training junior staff when needed.
