Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a Special Education Teaching Assistant for the Upper School at the Prairie View campus in Fort Worth, TX. The hourly, non-exempt role supports the Special Student Services team and collaborates with certified teachers to assist both general and special education students.

Responsibilities include academic and behavioral support, assisting with assignments, and facilitating a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in reading great books.
• Educational Aide certification I, II, or III preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments and modifications to learn materials.
• Monitor behavior and reinforce classroom rules; support SDI concepts as needed.
• Attend meetings and trainings and provide a clean, organized work area.
