Vivvi Early Learning in New York City is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support a 3K/UPK classroom in a full-time role. You will work closely with the Head Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curricula and foster curiosity, independence, and confidence in 3–4 year-olds while partnering with families.

The position requires UPK classroom experience, ongoing NYS Early Childhood certification, and a passion for play-based learning.

Formación

• Experience working in a UPK classroom is required.
• Currently in the process of obtaining New York State Early Childhood teaching certification (B-2 or N-6).
• 3–5 years of preschool or early childhood teaching experience, ideally in 3K/UPK.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• Experience working in licensed childcare center, private preschool, or early learning center.
• Familiarity with play-based learning, emergent curriculum, creative curriculum approaches, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and SEL.
• Passion for working with young children and seeing every child as capable and curious.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Interest in and potential to grow into a future Head Teacher role.

Responsabilidades

• Support the 3K/UPK preschool classroom with creativity, warmth, and purpose.
• Support the 3-4 year-old preschool classroom in a licensed NYC early learning center.
• Partner with Head Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum using play-based and emergent approaches.
• Support children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development through SEL and inquiry-based instruction.
• Observe and track developmental progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD and other tools.
• Build strong relationships with children and families and communicate milestones and progress.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized early childhood classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Head Teacher and school leadership to align curriculum with NYS standards and UPK/3K expectations.
• Take an active role in routines, transitions, and small-group activities.
• Continue developing to grow into a future Head Teacher.
