Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Transportation Planner for its client in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on developing strategic transportation plans, conducting feasibility studies, and advising on policy for regional development.

You will analyze current networks, forecast future needs, and propose innovative mobility solutions while collaborating with government bodies and communities to shape sustainable transport in the region.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering with a transportation specialization.
• Professional registration with SACPLAN or ECSA is desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation planning and policy development.
• Proven experience in developing comprehensive transportation plans for urban and regional areas.
• Proficiency in transportation modeling software and GIS tools.
• Strong understanding of South African transportation policies, legislation, and planning frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior planners.
• Commitment to sustainable and inclusive transportation solutions.
