Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated seeks a senior leader to own the textile and leather cover strategy across all categories. You will drive supplier diversification, material innovation, and competitive differentiation by shaping color, material, and finish directions, aligning sourcing, engineering and design with business goals.

You will lead cross-functional efforts to deliver profitable growth, manage cover lifecycle, pricing, and volumes, and partner with marketing to create go-to-market assets for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Textiles, Design or related field and 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years leadership/supervisory experience.
• Strong PM and organizational skills for multiple audience/retail channels.
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem solving.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, business units, and geographies.
• Deep understanding of textile and furniture industries; upholstery fabrics and leathers.
• Knowledge of color management and high hue discrimination.
• Proactive, self-starter with deadline-driven execution in fast-paced environments.
• Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint; strong communication & presentation skills.
• Understanding of profit analysis; travel up to 35% domestic & international.

Responsibilities

• Owns cover strategy for textile and leather across all categories to maximize sales and profitability.
• Develops balanced assortment aligned with wholesale and store merchandising needs.
• Leads cover decisions with Product Design leads, Supply Chain & R&D.
• Frames cover decisions for showroom presentations; collaborates on price points and volumes.
• Conducts competitive research on textile/ leather trends, colors, and interior design.
• Partners on product/cover lifecycle decisions and target pricing with leadership.
• Coordinates with Marketing on positioning, messaging and go-to-market assets.
• Provides input to R&D and Quality on cover approvals and specs.
• Directs design and technical construction of new cover developments with vendors.
• Leads new fabric and leather sourcing to diversify suppliers and products.
• Manages swatch strategy and budget across channels.
