Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates sewing machine for binding edges, sewing seams, topstitch, blind stitch, installing zippers and sewing various upholstery items.
• Matches weave and pattern before sewing and ensures machine is properly adjusted.
• Installs padding, beading, and muslin in upholstery items as required.
• May design and develop shop aids or other items as requested by supervision.
• Selects supplies such as tape, thread, and bobbin according to specifications and fabric color.
• Performs minor machine maintenance and records items sewn.
• Responsible for own work and performs other related duties as required.
