Job summary

Royal Furniture Co. is seeking an experienced upholstery repair technician to perform professional repairs on furniture considered repairable, including sewing, frame and mechanism work, springs and cushioning, and related tasks.

Experience with wood repairs is helpful for touch ups and structural work, utilizing fillers, color matching, pigments and stains, and replacement parts installation. Must lift 75 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods.

• Able to lift at least 75 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

We are looking for someone who has upholstery experience to make professional level upholstery repairs on items deemed repairable including sewing, frame and mechanism repairs, springs, cushioning, and any other repairs necessary.

Experience with wood would be helpful, too. Our wood repairers make professional repairs and touch ups on damaged merchandise using proper furniture repair techniques including use of fillers, burn-ins, color matching and replacement with pigments and stains, structural repairs, and installation of replacement parts.

Requirements:

• Knowledgeable & skilled at furniture repair.
• Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team performing whatever duties are necessary
• Able to lift at least 75 pounds safely and perform work that requires extensive periods of standing, kneeling, squatting, and lifting.

Schedule:

Tuesday through Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Mondays as needed.
