Fairfield-Chair-Company, a centennial family furniture maker in North Carolina, seeks an upholstery repair technician to fix major damage, read spec sheets, and ensure quality fits per tickets. You will use a range of hand and pneumatic tools and inspect finishes while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements include 1+ year upholstery repair experience, ability to read instructions, and physical ability to stand all shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Upholstery repair experience 1 year or more.
• Must be able to read work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Repair major upholstery damage.
• Multitask and work quickly.
• Learn to read SPEC sheets.
• Use tools such as pneumatic staple gun, regulator, plygrip, mauls, hammers, scissors, brass nail guns, and tack pullers to repair imperfections.
• Recognize defective items and correct them.
• Conduct inspections to ensure covers match tickets on pieces.
• Ensure grain runs straight with no lumps, holes, or cat tacks.
• Perform additional functions as requested by management.
• Work with minimum direction from supervisor.
• Wear required protective and safety equipment.
