Job summary

RH is seeking an Upholstery Line Inspector in Hickory, NC to ensure quality and style on upholstery pieces as they are built on the line. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to identify issues early and work with the upholsterers for immediate corrections.

You will move along the upholstery lines, use staple tools and other hand tools, and collaborate with leadership to resolve recurring quality concerns while maintaining dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ prior experience in upholstery.
• Must be able to read the production tickets.
• Must have adequate communication skills to interact with all RH team members.
• Must be able to multitask with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented, able to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Identifies issues and communicates them to the Inside or Outside Upholsterer for immediate correction.
• Communicates with the appropriate Leader when there are consistent issues for root cause identification and resolution.
• Uses hand tools such as staple gun, mallets, hammers, staple pullers and other tools.
• Performs other duties as required for RHM to be successful, including outside of their regular work area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing
• Ability to consistently lift and mobilize furniture and accessories in excess of 100 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety guidelines
