Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking team members for a physically demanding upholstery cell role with a 6 AM - 4:30 PM schedule, Monday–Thursday and mandatory overtime on Fridays.

You will hand-build quality upholstered furniture, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate staple guns, frame guns and power tools across upholstery, frame, cushion, and final assembly steps to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Completion of in-house training curriculum.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong coordination for routine, repetitive tasks.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Capacity to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Skilled use of hands for gripping, pulling, and tugging.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team atmosphere.
• Perform any position within the cell as needed.
• Proper use of Kan Ban containers.
• Assemble components into finished units.
• Operate staple guns and power tools as required.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.
