Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Ramsey, MN is looking for an Upholstery Production Associate to prepare and install upholstery materials, including wood, foam and fabric. You will layout, cut and stage materials, and operate cutting machinery to produce finished pads.

You will label, box and check quality, operate vinyl picker and pallet jack, and use a label maker. Strong English communication and reading work orders are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Operate staple gun, heat gun, vinyl cutter and hand tools.
• Operate computer to run label maker.
• Communicate effectively in English (read and understand).

Job Purpose

Essential Job Functions

• Layout and cut materials; operate cutting machine
• Stage materials for jobs per work order
• Use oven to prepare vinyl prior to stapling

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to operate staple gun, heat gun, vinyl cutter and hand tools (razor, wire cutter, staple remover)
• Ability to operate computer in order to run label maker
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (read and understand)

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 5 lbs frequently, 20 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs rarely
• Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
• Operate vinyl picker and pallet jack

Compensation

Your base wage will be between $20.00 - $22.75 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined. This position is eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked on 2nd shift, in addition to the base hourly wage.
