Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. seeks a dedicated trainer to lead onboarding for production line trainees, providing hands-on training, OMS reviews, and signoffs. You will mentor new associates, introduce them to team leads, and reinforce safety and operational standards on the line.

The role emphasizes teamwork, timely reporting, and escalation of issues to supervision, ensuring smooth onboarding and process adherence across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary trainer for the line with hands-on training, OMS reviews, and signoffs.
• Introduce new associates to teammates and leaders.
• Train using OMS and Customer Orders.
• Mentor trainees on work practices, rules, and safety adherence.
• Provide timely reports to Production Managers.
• Escalate concerns including materials, equipment, or personnel to Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Helps maintain a safe environment by reporting any issues or concerns and giving associates feedback on safety adherence.
• Serves as primary trainer for the line including providing hands on training, document reviews and signoffs.
• Introduces new associates to co-workers, Team Lead, and Manager.
• Communicates with team members, including Team Leads and Production Managers, to develop teamwork in the trainees.
• Trains from detailed instructions such as Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and Customer Orders.
• Mentors trainees on work practices, rules, and norms required to successfully integrate into the Moen team.
• Responds patiently to questions.
• Assists trainees in contacting resources for assistance during onboarding.
• Evaluates and provides accurate input to Production Managers concerning the ability of trainees to perform successfully.
• Provides required reports on a timely basis.
• Reports any concerns with the line such as but not limited to lack of materials, equipment issues, maintenance needs, product concerns, personnel issues, etc., to the Team Lead or Supervisor for the area.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $41,620 USD - $48,048 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
