Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a line trainer for the New Bern, NC area to support onboarding and safety on the production line. You will conduct hands-on training, review OMS and customer orders, and sign off on trainee progress, while introducing new associates to the team and management.

You will mentor trainees on required practices and report on training outcomes, escalating line-area issues to Team Lead or Supervisor to maintain smooth operations and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating on-line/on-the-floor training for production teams.
• Ability to review and sign off on training docs and orders.
• Strong communication with team leads and managers to build teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Helps maintain a safe environment by reporting any issues or concerns and giving associates feedback on safety adherence.
• Serves as primary trainer for the line including providing hands on training, document reviews and signoffs.
• Introduces new associates to co-workers, Team Lead, and Manager.
• Communicates with team members, including Team Leads and Production Managers, to develop teamwork in the trainees.
• Trains from detailed instructions such as Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and Customer Orders.
• Mentors trainees on work practices, rules, and norms required to successfully integrate into the Moen team.
• Responds patiently to questions.
• Assists trainees in contacting resources for assistance during onboarding.
• Evaluates and provides accurate input to Production Managers concerning the ability of trainees to perform successfully.
• Provides required reports on a timely basis.
• Reports any concerns with the line such as but not limited to lack of materials, equipment issues, maintenance needs, product concerns, personnel issues, etc., to the Team Lead or Supervisor for the area.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $41,620 USD - $48,048 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
