YMCA at Robertson County is Now Hiring for Specialty Program Coordinator

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Range: starts at $17 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Aligned with the mission and vision of the organization, the Specialty Program Coordinator will organize and oversee the designated specialty program(s) at assigned locations. This role requires collaboration with staff, participants, and community stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery and growth of the program.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Model organizational core values, including caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Serve as a program ambassador, advocate, and liaison.
  • Recruit, screen, and enroll participants.
  • Manage program logistics, including scheduling, securing space, and preparing supplies.
  • Oversee and support program facilitators, including hiring, training, and coaching.
  • Track, analyze, and report participant and program data.
  • Facilitate classes or workshops, ensuring engaging, curriculum-based delivery.
  • Foster participant engagement and retention by encouraging group interaction and goal setting.
  • Develop strategies for program growth and improvement in collaboration with leadership.
  • Maintain positive relationships with participants and the community to promote program visibility and support.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from a wide range of varied backgrounds and experiences across different community contexts effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Availability for flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends.
Certifications and Training:
  • Orientation and program-specific training upon hire.
  • First aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ongoing professional development as required by the program.
Working Conditions:
  • Combination of desk work and physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • May involve travel between locations

This role involves access to sensitive info and systems — so confidentiality and sound judgment are a must. Occasional physical activity, moderate noise, and up to 50 lbs. of lifting may be part of the job.
