Summary

The Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) is responsible for all departmental functions aligned with the mission, vision, and goals of PM Pediatrics. This role offers an opportunity for an x-ray tech to apply their skills in a pediatric urgent care setting and assist with primary patient care under the physician's supervision. The technologist maintains effective relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff, and vendors.

Receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time Rad Tech and $2,500 for Part-Time!

Job Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and operations
• Obtain medical histories, vital signs, and patient intake
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following safety protocols
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested
• Ensure equipment is in good condition and compliant with regulations
• Maintain daily quality control of radiology equipment
• Document repeat exposures and parent holding logs
• Assist in radiology quality assurance programs
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Assist in emergency situations and patient distress
• Collect and process laboratory specimens
• Assist in laboratory testing and QA procedures
• Apply splints, ace wraps, and DME devices
• Educate patients on crutch and device use
• Contribute to patient care team and maintain supplies
• Follow policies, ensure safety, and protect patient confidentiality
• Seek opportunities to improve and add value to services
• Assist with patient complaints and service recovery

Qualifications

• Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program
• Knowledge of medical terminology and practice
• Ability to act calmly in emergencies
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of digital imaging and electronic health records (eCW preferred)

Compensation

$30 - $40/hour, dependent on experience and location.
