Lehman-Roberts Company, a Granite Company, is seeking a versatile laborer to support asphalt production and road construction across West Tennessee and North Mississippi. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork on job sites.

You will dig, lift, and place materials, operate hand tools, and help prepare concrete, asphalt, and drainage projects while following precise directions and quality standards. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn will help you grow with the team.

Responsibilities

• Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials, using handtools.
• Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe.

General Summary

Performs any combination of following tasks, such as erecting, repairing, and wrecking ; installing waterworks, locks and dams; grading

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick and shovel.

• Lifts, carries, and holds materials, tools, and supplies.

• Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.

• Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials, using handtools.

• Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe.

• Performs a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, and placing culvert sections in trench.

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience

• On the job training required.

Physically, workers must be able to:

• Stand or walk for long periods

• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects

• Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds

• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction).
