Job summary

Lehman-Roberts Company, a Granite Company, is seeking a construction laborer to perform a variety of tasks including measuring, shaping, and finishing concrete, erecting forms, and assisting with grade control. Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Follow specific directions and perform duties with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances from grade stakes and set stakes accurately.
• Bolt, nail, align, and support forms for construction projects.
• Signal equipment operators to coordinate movement and alignment with grade specifications.
• Level earth to grade specifications using hand tools and portable mixer for concrete work.
• Mix concrete using portable mixer and finish freshly poured concrete with trowel or screed.
• Position, align, seal pipe sections; erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Perform diverse dexterous tasks with hands and tools, including sawing lumber and dismantling forms.

General Summary

Performs any combination of following tasks, such as erecting, repairing, and wrecking ; installing waterworks, locks and dams; grading

• Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.
• Bolts, nails, alines, and blocks up under forms.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alinement, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
• Levels earth to fine grade specifications, using pick and shovel.
• Mixes, concrete, using portable mixer.
• Smooths and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete, using float, trowel, or screed.
• Positions. joins, alines, and seals pipe sections.
• Erects scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Performs variety of tasks involving dextrous use of hands and tools, such as sawing lumber, dismantling forms, and removing projects from concrete.

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction).
