Job summary

Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking a highly capable UxS Technician to support assembly, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, and sustainment of unmanned systems and payloads. This role provides hands-on technical support for Group 1/2 UxS used in testing, training, demonstrations, and fielding activities.

The successful candidate will work with engineers, software developers, operators, and Government stakeholders to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technician experience with strong problem-solving skills.
• 3+ years of relevant unmanned systems experience preferred; security clearance required.
• FAA Part 107 or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, test, operate, maintain, repair, and sustain unmanned systems.
• Configure, troubleshoot, modify and maintain unmanned platforms and payloads.
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues and repair using hand/tools.
• Work with BetaFlight, ArduPilot, PX4 and various flight-controls.
• Prototype and fabricate parts with CAD and 3D printing tech.
