Job summary

Fathom Robotics is seeking USV Operators/Technicians to plan, execute, and operate unmanned maritime operations for government customers. You will work with active duty service members and government personnel, performing hands-on field tasks and providing technical advisory support.

Deployment-based rotations (CONUS/OCONUS) with 30–90 day deployments, requiring an Active SECRET clearance and the ability to operate in austere environments. This is a contract role with variable rotations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating or maintaining USVs, ROVs, or similar unmanned maritime systems.
• Small craft handling and on-water operations experience.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on marine or field-deployed systems.
• Able to deploy CONUS/OCONUS on short notice with valid U.S. passport.
• Willing to work in austere environments on extended field schedules.
• Physically capable of boat operations and outdoor work.
• Active SECRET clearance and US person status.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute unmanned maritime operations.
• Operate USVs during live missions: launch, recovery, on-water control.
• Perform pre-mission checks and post-mission maintenance.
• Troubleshoot propulsion, power, navigation, and comms subsystems.
• Coordinate with military/government personnel as customer liaison.
• Provide operator training and technical advisory support.
• Maintain mission logs and maintenance records.
