Job summary

RemoteLeads in the United States is seeking an experienced operator for unmanned maritime systems. You will plan and execute missions, launch and recover USVs, and coordinate with government customers.

The role requires hands-on field maintenance, troubleshooting propulsion and comms, the ability to deploy OCONUS on short notice, and holding an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience operating or maintaining USVs, ROVs, or unmanned maritime systems.
  • Experience with small craft handling and on-water operations.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of field-deployed systems.
  • Active SECRET clearance and U.S. person status.
  • Ability to deploy OCONUS on short notice with a valid U.S. passport.
  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering preferred.
  • Military unmanned systems or expeditionary operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with Mission Planner, QGroundControl, ArduPilot, MAVLink, SATCOM, or gas/diesel small-craft maintenance preferred.

  • Ability to work extended schedules in austere environments and perform lifting, boat operations, and sustained outdoor work.
  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field preferred.
  • Military unmanned systems, small boat, or expeditionary operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with Mission Planner, QGroundControl, ArduPilot, MAVLink, SATCOM, or gas/diesel small-craft maintenance preferred.
  • Prior OCONUS deployment experience preferred.
Benefits:
  • $500–$800 per day, commensurate with experience.
  • Hazard pay, per diem, lodging, and transportation provided.
  • CONUS training followed by rotational OCONUS deployments typically lasting 30–90 days.
  • Flexible schedule between taskings.
  • Part-time position; not eligible for health benefits.
