Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD offers a 10-week, full-time internship for Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering students. You will contribute to next-generation unmanned systems, participate in hardware design, testing, and data analysis while gaining hands-on engineering experience. U.S.

citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance are required, with mentorship and real project work. The pay range is $28–$32 per hour, with a prepaid stipend, and you will have access to training,

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Experience using MATLAB or related software language for coding.
• Understanding and willingness to apply Aerospace Engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Effective written and oral presentation skills.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms that support and protect our deployed warfighter.
• Participating in development of new products across all phases of the hardware design lifecycle from concept to test and evaluation.
• Supporting hands-on ground and flight test events through test planning, test execution, and data reduction.
• Working with multidisciplinary systems and unmanned air vehicles across design activities.
• Conducting in-depth performance, stability and control, and aerodynamic analysis.
• Use, update, and write aircraft performance simulation and predictive tools.
