Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD is offering a 10-week internship for a Mechanical Engineer—Uncrewed Land & Air. You will contribute to next-generation technology, perform solid modeling, structural design, and testing support across the full product lifecycle.

The role requires pursuing or having a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, the ability to work 40 hours per week, and U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support on next-generation technologies and proven platforms.
• Engage in solid modeling, fabrication and assembly, structural design, fastening/joining, and measurement-tool operations.
• Conduct research, trade studies, design concepts, and perform structural/thermal analyses; support testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate on a multi-functional team with aero-electro-mechanical hardware across the product lifecycle.
