Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 10-week engineering internship in Hunt Valley, MD for students pursuing aerospace or mechanical engineering. You will support engineering teams on new technologies and proven platforms, participate in hardware design, and assist with ground and flight testing.

This paid internship provides mentorship, hands-on project work, and skill development within a collaborative environment. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed bachelor’s or master’s in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience using MATLAB or related software language.
• Understanding and applying Aerospace Engineering principles.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Effective written and oral presentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms.
• Participating in development of new products across the hardware design lifecycle from concept to test.
• Supporting ground and flight test events through test planning, execution, and data reduction.
• Working with multidisciplinary systems on unmanned air vehicles.
• Conducting performance, stability and control, and aerodynamic analysis.
• Use, update, and write aircraft performance simulation and predictive tools.
