Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a 2027 Intern in Aerospace Engineering (Uncrewed Land & Air) to contribute on unmanned platform projects in Hunt Valley, MD. You’ll provide engineering support across hardware design and testing, from concept through evaluation, while working closely with experienced engineers.

This internship offers mentorship, hands-on project work, a prepaid stipend, and development opportunities, with potential 401(k) vesting benefits and flexible schedules at select locations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in using, updating, and writing code in MATLAB or related software language.
• Understanding and willingness to apply Aerospace Engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Effective written and oral presentation skills.
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support on next generation technologies and unmanned platforms across hardware design lifecycle from concept to test and evaluation.
• Supporting hands-on ground and flight test events through test planning, execution, and data reduction.
• Working with multidisciplinary systems across a wide range of design activities on unmanned air vehicles.
• Conducting in-depth performance, stability and control, and aerodynamic analysis.
• Use, update, and write aircraft performance simulation and predictive tools.
