Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD, is offering a 10-week, full‑time engineering internship designed to give hands‑on experience on next‑gen and proven platforms that protect deployed warfighters.

You’ll work on mechanical design concepts, solid modeling, fabrication and assembly, and contribute to design analyses, test plans, and documentation under Senior Engineer guidance. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a mechanical engineering degree and can commit to 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Willing to commit to a 40-hour work week.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support on next-gen technologies and proven platforms.
• Perform solid modeling, fabrication and assembly, structural design, fastening and measurement operations.
• Conduct research, trade studies, design concepts, performance calculations, and analysis.
• Collaborate on a multi-functional team across the product lifecycle from concept to lab integration.
• Generate design and analysis documentation, test plans, subcontractor statements of work.
