Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to help design advanced unmanned aircraft systems for high-performance commercial and government programs. You will influence product development from concept through full-scale production and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Five to eight years designing mechanical systems for complex engineered products.
• Hands-on experience with structural simulation, vibration characterization, and dynamic performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, assemblies, and integrated systems for electromechanical products.
• Develop solutions to improve performance, manufacturability, reliability, and quality.
• Perform structural analysis using FEA and evaluate through vibration and modal analysis.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, manufacturing, and test teams through the lifecycle.
• Contribute from design and prototyping through validation and production launch.
• Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation using SolidWorks and PLM tools.
• Participate in design reviews and validation activities to meet requirements.
• Analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose long-term improvements.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners on development and readiness.
• Recommend design improvements to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
