Job summary

InvestedintheMission is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our UAV systems design team. You will design, analyze, and test mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems, from concept through detailed design, and contribute to next-generation platforms.

This role requires 5-8 years of experience, a Mechanical or Aerospace degree, and proficiency with SolidWorks, ASME standards, and drawings. You'll collaborate across disciplines, support manufacturing, and help ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of mechanical design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience designing machined, composite, sheet metal parts
• Hands-on prototyping for lightweight robotic systems
• Proficient with SolidWorks and ASME drafting standards

Responsibilities

• Design structural and electro-mechanical components
• Read blueprints and schematics; assist scheduling
• Collaborate to implement procedures and resolve issues
• Create manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Research feasibility and maintenance needs
• Support design reviews and manufacturing suppliers
• Deliver tasks on schedule and budget
